E-rally 2018, the fifth edition.
On Saturday 2 June 2018, the E-rally Foundation organizes the fifth edition of this E-rally, a tour rally of approximately 200 km for fully electric cars. As was the case with the first four editions, more than 100 teams will cover more than 20,000 electric kilometers in a full-day program, without consuming a drop of petrol or diesel.
This is not just a tour rally, the E-rally foundation also supports the JustdiggIt foundation.
Because Tesland supports the E-rally Foundation and especially the JustdIgitt, Tesland will sponsor the E-rally this year. Of course we will participate in this rally as well.
What is the E-rally and what is JustdiggIt?
By showing the possibilities of electric driving to a wide audience, the E-rally Foundation contributes to the greening of motoring in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, the E-rally Foundation makes a concrete contribution to halting and reversing desertification in Africa. To this end, the E-Rally Foundation cooperates intensively with JustdiggIt, an initiative against desertification and climate change (www.justdiggit.org). By means of scenic interventions rainwater is collected in desiccated areas and brought underground, so that rainwater is retained better and these areas become green again. This greening then cools down and attracts rain more regularly, so that long-term droughts and all unpleasant consequences are prevented. The proceeds of the E-Rally (more than € 160,000 in the first four editions) are fully used for Justdiggit.
How, what, where?
Given the success of the first four editions of the E-Rally, the fifth edition of the E-rally will take place on Saturday 2 June 2018. This edition will start in the morning at the supercharger of Tesla in Dordrecht and end at the European factory of Tesla in Tilburg with a drink and then a dinner.
