This specific part was manufactured by Continental and used for vehicles with Autopilot hardware versions AP 2.5 and AP 3.0. Although Tesla has fully transitioned to cameras in newer vehicles (Tesla Vision), this sensor is essential in older models for adaptive cruise control and emergency braking systems.
