Tesla's production significantly higher in the third quarter

Tesla built many more cars in the third quarter. According to the company, 80,142 vehicles were produced, an increase of 50% compared to the previous record in the second quarter.

Of the Model 3, 53,239 cars were produced, almost double the production volume in the second quarter. This number is in line with Tesla's expectations.

The target was 50,000 to 55,000 cars. Of the other models, 26,903 vehicles were built (Model S and X)
This is also in line with Tesla's own forecasts and is a slight quarterly increase.

The deliveries amounted to 83,500 vehicles in the previous period. Tesla indicates that this is already more than 80% of the total deliveries of 2017.
The goal of supplying 100,000 S and X vehicles by 2018 remains unchanged.

Tesla sold 1.645 cars in the Netherlands in September and is number 6 in the brand overview.
This brings Tesla sales to more than 5,000 sold cars for this year so far!

Problems Solved

Tesla also points out that many production and delivery problems have been resolved in the last quarter.
Tesla wants to further improve these processes in order to speed up production even more.
Topman Elon Musk spoke earlier of a production and logistics hell referring to the problems at Tesla.

Tesla has also announced plans to accelerate the construction of its Shanghai plant in China.
In this way, the company wants to avoid Chinese import tariffs for foreign cars and the costs of transporting cars by sea.

Musk reached an agreement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission last weekend. The SEC has criticised Musk for his Twitter message about the privatisation of Tesla and thus misleading investors. He has to resign his position as chairman of Tesla for three years.
In addition, Tesla and Musk must pay a fine of $ 20 million.
